What is Remembrance Day?

Remembrance Day is an annual holiday on November 11th commemorating veterans of the armed forces and also the men and women killed in the country’s wars. The observance organized as Armistice Day, which was set aside by the United Sates, Great Britain, and France to commemorate the ending of world war I. after the World War II it was recognized as a day of tribute to the veterans and dead of that conflict as well. Poppies were in flower on many of the French battlefields of world war I. today artificial poppies are sold in Europe and the USA to raise money for war veterans.
